Programme

Basic Design Education
This course is planned as a training process in which important concepts and topics (color, texture, balance, composition, etc.), which are the basic elements of the design, are taught with different materials and applications. This course, which aims to teach basic principles within the dialectic of “meaning and concept”, also forms the basis of the Communication Workshop course in the 2nd semester. These complementary courses (Basic Design Workshop and Basic Communication Workshop) aim to understand design and communication with an integrated approach.

Learning Outcomes
  1. Interpret the communication and design concepts,
  2. Uses design elements such as point, line, plane, ratio-space, shape-stain, color-texture, light-shadow,
  3. To absorb design principles such as repeat-rhythm, contrast-emptiness, unity-balance,
  4. It adopts the processes of “creating meaning”, “developing ideas” and “visualizing”.
Content
Reinforcing academic knowledge and practice of basic design, improving material susceptibility and production concentration. To make visible and abstract concepts by re-evaluating. Students manage to transform the areas of freedom and design thinking / discipline within "mandatory limitations" into production.
